Attention Spring Sports Families,

AV Athletic Boosters will host a Spring Sports Information night on Monday, January 28. During this meeting you will:

  • Meet the Coaches
  • Understand Boosters Role in AV Athletics
  • Learn What it takes to Fund Athletics
  • Understand the Medical Clearance
  • Understand the Tryout Process of your team
  • Secure your Boosters Membership & Game Passes

If your student is interested in participating in a 2018-19 Spring Sport at Amador, on-line registration will open on January 2, 2019. More information about the upcoming season will be presented at the Parents Spring Sports Meeting. Please follow the NEW procedure outlined below:

Step 1: Complete a baseline concussion screening for your athlete if it is required by your sport. This screening is a computer based test and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The test is administered on-site at Amador by our Athletic Trainer. Upon completion of the test, students will be responsible for uploading their confirmation receipt email indicating they passed the test to their Athletic Clearance account. Confirmation of this upload is required for sports clearance. A Baseline Concussion test is good for two years once taken and is a requirement for incoming Freshmen athletes participating in a contact sport.

Below is the schedule for Baseline Concussion Testing for the 2018-19 Spring Sports Programs. All Tests will begin sharply at 3:30 pm in the Library Computer Lab on the dates indicated:

Baseball: Wednesday, December 12th
Softball: Monday, December 17th
Girls Lacrosse: Wednesday, January 9th
Boys Lacrosse: Friday, January 11th
Cheer/Stunt: Monday, January 14th
Boys Volleyball/Diving: Wednesday, January 16th
Track: Friday, January 18th
(pole vault, hurdler, jumper):

Make-ups for all sports: Wednesday, January 23rd

Step 2: Parents must now register their student online through Athletic Clearances Registration ( before a student can try-out for a sport. All athletes must have a current athletic physical form, which is good for one year from the date of the exam. Be sure to print and bring the physical form to your Doctor appointment and once completed please upload the physical form to the athletic clearance site where requested. (Remember—each physical form needs to be signed and stamped by your physician to be deemed valid.) If your student plays multiple sports, physical forms can be transferred from one sport to another (within same school year), but you must register your student, using Athletic Clearances, for every season.

After completing the on-line registration process, you will receive a confirmation email that your information has been submitted to us. You must still print this email and include both a parent and student signature. Bring this signed form to the Activities Desk for Final Clearance.

The schedule for submission of paperwork to Student Activities is as follows:

Girls Lacrosse-January 11th

Baseball- January 14th

Boys Tennis and Boys Golf-January 15th

Softball-January 16th

Stunt-January 17th

Boys Lacrosse-January 18th

Track & Field Girls-January 22nd

Track & Field Boys-January 23rd

Boys Swimming & Diving-January 24th

Girls Swimming & Diving-January 25th

Boys Volleyball-February 1st

Badminton-February 4th

Please plan to submit your paperwork on the sport-specific date identified above. If you are unable to complete this process on your designated date then Monday, January 28th will serve as a make-up day for all of the sports with the exception of Boys Volleyball and Badminton.

All Spring Sports will begin on Monday, January 28th.

**Checks for Athletic Registration fees for these sports may be turned in with the registration paperwork to the Activities Desk. Please refer to the Spring Sports Registration Fee List link for the suggested amount for each sport. You may also make payments online using the tab on your Sport’s main page at

Step 3: Please ensure that all book bills are cleared for your athlete prior to submitting any paperwork to Activities. Debts must be resolved prior to clearance for tryouts in your sport.

Step 4: In order to participate in sports at Amador a student must be in good academic standing. Grades will be checked for each student at the time of their signed confirmation email submission to the Activities Desk.

Final sports clearance must be received before a student will be allowed to try out for a Sport. Please ensure that you follow each step to secure your Clearance in a timely matter.
