It is the AV Athletic Boosters honor to announce the inaugural class of inductees to the AVHS Wall of Fame. They were chosen from a large group of deserving athletes, community members and coaches that have contributed to AVHS over the years.

The first official day of Winter sports is November 1st.

Good Afternoon Amador Pre-Season Volleyball Families!
A huge thank you to our Coaches including our Alumnae coaching staff for delivering a great camp experience this week for all of our players!

All athletes should have received a camp shirt yesterday. If your player did not receive a shirt, please reach out to me and I can get one to her. I have a few left—mostly mediums and no smalls. As you all know, this was a major fundraiser for our program and proceeds position us well for the season as well as cover the cost of running our no-fee open gyms in the summer months. Thank you everyone for participating!

Now we move on to try outs! The schedule for next week is as follows:
Monday 8/9
JV and Varsity Tryouts 3:30-5:30pm in Large Gym (returning players and invited new players only)
Frosh Tryouts 5:30-7pm in Large Gym (incoming 9th graders and new 10th graders)

Tuesday 8/10
JV and Varsity Tryouts 3:30-5:30pm in Large Gym (returning players and invited new players only)
Frosh Tryouts 5:30-7pm in Large Gym (incoming 9th graders and new 10th graders)

Wednesday 8/11
ALL LEVELS 3:30-5:30pm in Large Gym (team selection today)

Thursday 8/12
JV and Varsity FIRST PRACTICE 4-5:30pm in Large Gym
Frosh FIRST PRACTICE 5:30-7pm in Large Gym

Friday 8/13
JV and Varsity PRACTICE 4-5:30pm in Large Gym
MANDATORY PLAYER AND PARENT MEETING in Large Gym at 6pm
Frosh-NO PRACTICE TODAY but you are required to attend the meeting with your parent

*the program will provide In and Out for the teams tonight directly following the JV/Varsity practice. This dinner will be for all levels including Frosh. Please plan to have Frosh players arrive by 5:30pm to eat with the teams. Please bring your own food if you do not wish to eat In and Out. I don’t have time to do lots of dietary modifications for this meal so it would be great if you just let me know your player is bringing her own food and then I can adjust the head count.

*All players need to be cleared for tryouts. By now you should have uploaded your health forms to athletic clearance.com. If you are an incoming freshman, new player, or an incoming junior, you need to complete concussion testing through Ms. Hasenpflug. Please email her directly at dhasenpflug@pleasantonusd.net. I saw her today and she said she will be sending links to complete the online concussion testing to players who email her with a request.
