Hello Basketball Families,

I wanted to let you know about the upcoming Winter Sports Meeting on Monday September 11, 2017 at Amador Valley high School. As of last night the plan was to have it in the main gym at 7pm.

The athletic director, Lou Cesario, will be there to lead the meeting and give information about what you will need to do in order for your son to try out for basketball in November. This is a general meeting for all Winter sports represented at Amador.

Some of our coaches and I will be there on Monday to answer questions. I hope all our parents from previous years (especially senior parents) who have years of experience will be there to help too.

For the 14th consecutive year, AVHS Athletic Boosters is host for the Special Olympics Regional Basketball Tournament. This is a great opportunity to experience competitive athletics at a most inspiring level. This is a volunteer activity that will change your life and attitude!

Volunteers: High school age or older, families welcome, younger children must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. Approximately 450 volunteers are used for this event.
Location: at Amador Valley HS, Pleasanton Middle School & Harvest Park Middle School.

We are looking forward to the 56th Amador Basketball Classic (ABC) tournament Dec 7-10th hosted by our Amador Basketball Program. This is a long standing tradition for our school and although only Varsity teams participate in the tournament, all levels must help host the tournament which is a major fundraiser for the entire boys basketball program.

Brian Turner (varsity parent) has offered to help coordinate all of our volunteers. I have attached the bracket for our tournament. We have some great teams coming to play at our school and we are looking forward to making it a great competition. Please keep an eye out for further emails and sign ups to help us make this a success.
