If your student is interested in participating in a Winter Sport at Amador, on-line registration is now open. All Winter Sports begin November 6, 2017. Please follow the NEW procedure outlined below:

Step 1: Parents must now register their student online through Athletic Clearances Registration (www.AthleticClearance.com) before a student can try out for a sport. All athletes must provide a current athletic physical form, which is good for one year from the date of the exam. Be sure to print and bring the physical form to your Doctor appointment and once completed please upload the physical form to the athletic clearance site where requested. (Remember—each physical form needs to be signed and stamped by your physician to be deemed valid.) If your student plays multiple sports, physical forms can be transferred from one sport to another (within same school year), but you must register your student, using Athletic Clearances, for every season. The three other traditional registration forms are now included in the on-line process and will be completed electronically so are no longer physically required by Activities.

After completing the on-line registration process, you will receive a confirmation email that your information has been submitted to us. *You must still print this email and include both a parent and student signature. * Bring this signed form along with a copy of the sports physical to Activities for Final Clearance beginning October 23, 2017.

**Checks for Athletic Registration fees for these sports may be turned in with the registration paperwork to the Activities Desk. Step 2: Complete a baseline concussion screening for your athlete if it is required by your sport. This screening is a computer based test and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The test is administered on-site at Amador by our Athletic Trainer. A Baseline Concussion test is good for two years once taken and is a requirement for incoming Freshman athletes.

Step 3: Please ensure that all book bills are cleared for your athlete prior to submitting any paperwork to Activities. Debts must be resolved prior to clearance for tryouts in your sport.

Step 4: In order to participate in sports at Amador a student must be in good academic standing. Grades will be checked for each student at the time of their email and physical form submission to the Activities Desk.

Sports Clearance must be received before a student will be allowed to try out for a Sport. Please ensure that you follow each step to secure your Clearance in a timely matter.

Amador Alumni Homecoming BBQ - 10/20 @ 5PM

PGA TOUR Champions and The First Tee advanced 82 participants, ages 14 to 18, selected by a national panel of judges based on playing ability and comprehension of the life skills and core values learned through their involvement with The First Tee. The juniors were teamed with 82 PGA TOUR Champion players and 164 amateurs as they competed for the pro-junior title. Out of the 82 junior participants, 5 were selected to compete in The Coca-Cola Champions Challenge.

Michael Shaw, a Junior at AVHS and the captain of our Boys Golf Team, was invited to represent The First Tee of Tri-Valley Chapter in this challenge. Michael was paired with Mr. Paul Broadhurst, defending champion of last year’s PURE Insurance Championship Impacting The First Tee. The Broadhurst Shaw Team won $24,000 for The First Tee Chapter of their choice. This team shot 2 under in the 5 hole span in the most difficult alternate shot format on the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Michael brought home $12,000 to The First Tee of Tri Valley. We are forever grateful for this priceless experience to be a part of the 2017 Pure Insurance Championship Impacting The First Tee.
