The Dons played three games this week. Tuesday was their first game of the 2020 season at Clayton Valley Charter. The varsity overcame a slow start to prevail 13-6. Goalie Jonny Wessel kept the Dons in the game early on while facing a barrage of shots. He ended up saving 13 of 25 shots faced. The Dons were led on offense by Cal Ewanich (2G, 4A), who showed strong playmaking skills all night and led a balanced offensive attack. The Dons pulled away in the second half on strong team defense and opportunistic offense.
The JV team also came out with a 21-7 win. Robert Sitter (3G, 3A) and Carson Fiahlo (4G, 2A) led the way with 6 points each, while Reed Shaw (2G, 2A) and Will Coultrip (3G, 1A) each contributed 4 points.

Next up Grenada came to town on Friday night. The Varsity team won their game 22-2. Jackson Hilton (5G, 2A), Colin Wallace (4G, 3A) and Cal Ewanich (1G, 6A) led the offensive onslaught with 7 points apiece. Ryan Chiou, Timmy Gallagher, and Kaleb Real combined to win 100% of the faceoffs.
The JV team also won 21-4. Reed Shaw had 8 points (6G, 2A), while Carson Fiahlo (3G, 4A) and Ryan Brace (3G, 4A) each had 7 points. Ross Brown led the defense with three forced turnovers.

Saturday the Dons travelled to Los Gatos and split their games. The Varsity team lost 10-12 in a very physical game. Cal Ewanich (2G, 5A) and Jackson Hilton (4G, 1A) led the way on offense, while Ryan Chiou, Cal Ewanich, Luke Jacobson, and Mateo Castillo battled for multiple ground balls.
The JV team won 19-10. Carson Fiahlo led the offensive attack with 13 points (7G, 6A), while Reed Shaw chipped in with 8 points (4G, 4A). Goalie Alec Smith made 12 saves, and Max Young, Maxim Carrel, and Reed Shaw combined to win over 66% of faceoffs.
