AV Football - Varsity 2021-2022

Hi,

Welcome to the 2017-18 football season, my name is Sandy Urquhart and I’m your snack bar volunteer coordinator.

As many of you know and for those that don’t, Amador football is self-funded and as a self-funded sport, football relies heavily on registrations and fundraising to keep our program alive. With that said, all home football games need volunteers in the snack bar. All snack bar proceeds come back directly to the football program. We require that each family cover two separate shifts and that they work their shift(s) that is not during their athlete’s game.

Hi!

POLOS:
We are placing an order for Amador football polos. The boys will be allowed to wear theses game day instead of shirt and tie on most days.

If you paid for summer ball ($250), the polo is included in that package. If you’re not sure if you paid, send me an email. I have a list.

If you did not pay for summer ball and would like your son to have a polo, please give Jeremy or Coach Jones $30 by Thursday Aug 10th. We have already sized all the kids in anticipation of ordering.

SCRIMMAGE:
Our annual Purple and Gold Scrimmage will be Sat Aug 12th at Patelco Fields(Bernal) 10:00-11:30am. Following will be a BBQ and swim party (12pm-2pm) and Amador pool. Please rsvp to
Dixie dixieflorio@comcast.net if your family will be at the BBQ. Trying to get a head count for food.

Mandatory practices start Monday Aug 7th! Be sure to get those clearance forms to Coach Jones! Check Team Pages for the calendar!

Sorry for the late notice.

Coach was just informed all new players or those who didn’t test last year, need concussion baseline testing done this Friday Aug 4th 12:00 in I-1 (computer lab). If you had a test last year, you do not need one.The list below are players that had their test done last year and DO NOT need one this year. Everyone else does….

Also, boys will meet at Amador Friday 5:15pm for a last push to sell coupon cards. They will spend a couple of hours walking around the neighborhood together and then all leftover cards and money will be turned in at 7:15. Please have all money and cards at this event if you have not turned them in already. Varsity only is having movie night and the new jersey reveal after selling cards!

Reminder:

Athletic packet with completed physicals MUST be turned into the office by 4pm Friday Aug 4th. The office will be closed next Monday Aug 7th and Tuesday Aug 8th due to walk thru registration. Give your office clearance form to Coach Jones before practice Monday Aug 7th 7am or you cannot practice that day.

Hi everyone –
Reminder that mandatory practices start on August 7th. Before your son will be able to practice starting Aug 7th, you must complete the athletic packet and pay the fair share fee $480 (to cover coaching, transportation, etc.).
I’ve attached a copy of the packet here or you may also download it from the Amador website (amador.pleasantonusd.net).
Please note that your son must have a completed physical before he will be allowed to practice.

NO EXCEPTIONS, so please get the physicals scheduled and the forms completed and ready to turn in August 1st.

The forms and payment must be turned into the office (not me or the coach) and they typically open for business Tuesday August 1st (8-4pm), so there is a short window to get this done.
