We had 4 revisions to our Shadow Cliffs all-time list for the 3k course at the time trial yesterday.
On the girls’ side, Surabhi Kumar led the way with the #7 all-time mark on the course for Amador Valley High School with her time of 12:15. Just behind, at 12:17, Juliette Fletcher crossed the line tied with Kelly Parsons for #8 all-time.
On the boys’ side, Aidan Boyle made his cross country debut with a bang, also tying for the #8 spot all-time with a time of 10:15. Pressing right up against Peter Schlachte’s all-time record was Jack Gray, who ended up 1 second behind Peter in the #2 spot with a time of 9:56. Jack improved his spot from the #9 time of 10:17 that he ran last year.
No longer qualifying for the all-time list for the girls are Bliss Bergmark, who ran 12:31 in 2015 and Karly Laffer, who ran 12:28 in 2014. On the boys’ side, Kellen Cole, whose 10:21 mark from 2006 was bumped off of the list. Kellen’s time is significant because the course we ran yesterday used to be used for the EBAL frosh/soph championship race before that race was changed to the 3 mile distance. Kellen ran his time as a freshman and held the all-time record for the frosh/soph race at EBAL’s. I guess he still does hold that record and it will never be broken because that course is not contested any more.
