Hi All,

As promised at our Parent Meeting, here is the first request for volunteers for our Annual Dan Gabor Invitational being held on March 2, 2019 from 8 am to 10ish pm.

For those of you that missed our Parent Meeting, Dan Gabor is our annual fundraiser. Last year we made approx. $23k and this year we are shooting for $25k. This fundraiser makes it possible for the student athletes to focus on their sport instead of stressing on selling wrapping paper, chocolate bars, and anything else that you can think of selling. With that said, we cannot pull this invitational off without all of your help. We have over 200 students athletes which means we should have at least 200 parent volunteers to help fill the 116 volunteer spots needed this year. You do not need any experience to help with any of the events. The coaches will always be there and can help explain what they need you to do. If you don’t feel comfortable helping with an event, we are need lots of help in the snack bar as well. If you are concerned about missing your child’s event, don’t be, if you sign up to help with his/her event(s) you will have a front row seat. If you choose to volunteer in the snack bar, you can go and watch their event but, remember you will need to complete your shift so, you will need to come back once it’s over.

I have 5 spring sports programs left, each one is $15. If you are interested in grabbing one of them, have your student athlete go to Coach Ozzie’s classroom to purchase starting tomorrow. They will need to pay with exact change or via a check made out to AVHS Boosters.

It’s NOT too Late to Pay your Athletic Registration Fee

Athletic Registration Update

Track & Field athletic registration participation is currently 56%. This creates a deficit of $17,300 to make up. If you have not done so, please pay your Athletic Registration of $250 per player. You can visit the School Activity Desk or pay online at https://amador.futurefund.com/store/campaigns/4106.

Your Athletic Registration’ covers Coaches and your portion of the Athletic Director, it does not cover all the costs necessary to run the program. Any short fall in Athletic Registration must be covered by the Teams fundraising amount and directly cuts into their ability to build the program. Let’s get this number above 90%.
